As Purchase Manager within our sales organization, you are responsible for the entire Direct Spend area.
As a central figure, you know better than anyone how to close deals and maintain lasting relationships with the various major beverage brand suppliers.
Headquartered in Ternat, the Haelterman Group employs some 350 people and comprises a number of companies with leading reputations in the beverage sector.

In order to optimize the purchasing department within the Haelterman Group, we are currently looking for a Purchase Manager (Direct Spend).

Vos responsabilités

– You will be responsible for purchasing for the B2B channel and for seeking out the best prices.
You are also responsible for analyses and reports within the framework of the purchasing/sales policy; – You are responsible for the management of B2B purchasing contracts and ensure the control and follow-up of commercial agreements; – Within the framework of these contracts, you concentrate mainly on obtaining sales promotions; – In addition, you act outside existing cooperation contracts and obtain optimal returns from purchases via other channels (retail, import, …); – In consultation with marketing, all this translates into attractive sales actions; – Coordination with our logistics departments is key to success; – You are responsible for the management of B2B purchasing contracts.You are aware of what is happening in the market and, at the same time, you sound out the specific needs of the B2C market in collaboration with sales/marketing. You monitor the market, detect trends and make proposals for the assortment (new products or categories); – You are responsible for optimizing the assortment for each beverage category, obtaining the right assortment determination; – You negotiate product listing and activation and are responsible for category management; – You are responsible both for analyzing various parameters such as sales data, promotions, prices, etc., and for analyzing assortment proposals. Votre profil

– You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an economic field (commercial or economic sciences, commercial engineering, business administration…); – In addition, you have at least 5 to 7 years’ relevant experience in purchasing/category management/purchasing, preferably in the FMCG or retail sector.
– An affinity with the beverage world is an absolute asset; – You are not afraid of complexity and dare to take initiatives; – You are a relationship builder and a true negotiator; – You work in a structured and analytical way.
You are an Excel expert; – You have a flexible, results-oriented attitude and are keen to improve; – You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and French.
Knowledge of English is an additional asset.
